About Myself

I am a graduate in Geography from Oxford where I received an Academic Scholarship as a result of my first year exam results. Having grown up and attended an international school in Madrid, Spain, I am familiar with working with students of all nationalities. Having achieved 10 A*/A IGCSEs and 43 IB points, I am confident I can teach the subject of Geography well, drawing on all aspects ranging from economic Geography to the physical side too.

Tutoring Approach

I consider myself to be extremely patient as a tutor, understanding that different students have different needs and work in all sorts of ways and paces. I aim to push my students to achieve their full potential, by helping them think of more complex arguments and implications surrounding geographical issues. In my opinion, thinking outside the box, and considering such complexity, is the key to success when it comes to Geography, and therefore it is my aim to try and help students achieve this ability.

Teaching Experience

I have previous experience tutoring Spanish students in English, as well as having worked with IGCSE level and IB level students to raise their abilities in Geography.

Extracurricular Interests

Whilst at Oxford I was Vice President of The Oxford Guild Business Society, and Business Executive for Oxford's student newspaper, Cherwell.

University offer

She was absolutely amazing! The tutoring was focused on preparing for university entry. She was so patient and encouraging and was always willing to help me whenever I needed her help. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, helpful and sincere. I was offered a place and I honestly could not have done it without Holly.
